This past May 2012 My daughter Karis turned the big 0-3!
She’s been in love with the movie Tangled, an adaptation of the story of Rapunzel. And, frankly, so have I. So I knew we had to do a Rapunzel style birthday party. My only challenge was narrowing down what elements to include in the party. There was so many cute elements in the movie that would be totally fun in a party!
So lets talk details
After all… love is in the details!
When planning for a party the first thing I usually look for to support my theme visually are printables. So, I found these fabulous cupcake toppers and much more from Two Tiny Loves on Etsy. (UPDATE: This shop is no longer open). They were absolutely perfect for our party!
I loved having some of the characters in pop up different places around the dessert table. Here’s Pascal hanging by the cupcakes! And I purchased these little figurines at the Disney Store.
Another of my favorite details were these bags. Attached to the bags were thank you tags with coordinating ribbon. The tag reads, “Thank you for getting tangled in fun with me at my party!” Super cute!
We couldn’t have a Tangled party with out scattering Flynn Rider Wanted posters all around the front of the house and the backyard. The kids felt like they were in the woods by where Flynn Rider was running from Maximus. We got these wanted posters from Girly Momma Designs. (UPDATE: This shop is no longer open).
This Tangled Sun banner has to be one of my many favorite details of this party. The sun and purple color are iconic in the movie Tangled. And so it was a must have for when planning this party. I was fortunate enough to find this beautiful banner handcrafted by 21 Creations. Don’t you just love it?
Love. love. love.
The Snuggly Duckling is another thing you can’t soon forget from the movie. So we had our food at the Snuggly Duckling table. And my mom actually made this sign… freehand! She’s amazing!
I must tell you about these cookies! Not only were they beautiful and perfect for this party but they were so delicious! Guests were raving about them. Not Betty Cookies made these and she does all sorts of other cookies. Can’t wait to eat her cookies again.
There are just oodles of fun details so take a look:
Paper Straws from Cakes & Kids Too.
Straw Flags from- Two Tiny Loves.
Jello & Orange boats! An ode to the boat Eugene (Flynn Rider) & Rapunzel rode to see the Floating Lights!
Here was our Cake! Made by Buttercooky Bakery.
More details!
Maximus loves apples!
Pies! Rapunzel baked a lot of pies in her tower!

It was a fun day filled with all kinds of cute details and fun times for the birthday girl!
